Our dermaplaning course is an advance facial course that will teach you to deliver on demand facial services. If you are wanting to become a facial therapist or add additional services to your business dermaplaning is a highly sought-after treatment for those clients who love to look after their skin!

We highly recommend you complete our facial therapy course before moving on to more advance techniques!

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning offers deep exfoliation removing dead skin cells from the upper layer of the surface of the skin using a surgical scalpel. This gentle ‘shaving’ of the skin surface can also remove fine vellus hair (fuzz) from the face giving a renewed and glowing appearance to the skin. Dermaplaning is only completed on the face.

Upon signing up to our course:

When you sign up to this course you will be emailed a confirmation with your log in to our student portal where you can access your online theory with in 24-48 hours. This needs to be thoroughly gone over & understood before attending the course as our courses are practical in academy.

Duration of the day:

Time: 9.30am till 2.30pm – small breaks between clients

Arrival at 9.20 ready for a prompt start at 9.30am

The day starts out with your tutor covering a shorter version of your online theory (please go over online) followed by a live demonstration. We will then move on to your live models. Not 1 but a minimum of 2 live models to ensure your confident and leave with content to get you going with marketing and social media advertising.

Live models required at 11.15 & 12.30pm & 1.15  – We can help with models

No kit included – everything is provided for the course.

Dress code:

Tunic, scrubs or all black is expected to be worn in academy.

After the course:

After the course you will need to obtain liability insurance in order to work on paying clients. You can use these skills to work from home, mobile or in a salon. Dermaplaning opens up a wide career path.
