Our Acrylic nail course is a 1 day course that will take you through the full step by step application process, blending techniques, infills, along with all your health and safety, contra-indications and much more.

What are acrylic nails?

Acrylic nails are artificial nail extensions made of acrylic plastic, placed over your natural nails.  Acrylics area combination of a liquid monomer and a powder polymer that form a paste which is bonded to the natural nail. It’s then given the desired shape, where it hardens in place to add strength, length, and thickness to the nail.

Upon signing up to our course:

When you sign up to this course you will be emailed a confirmation with your log in to our student portal where you can access your online theory with in 24-48 hours. This needs to be thoroughly gone over & understood before attending the course as our courses are practical in academy.

Duration of the day:

Time: 9.30am till 1.30pm – small breaks between clients

Arrival at 9.20 ready for a prompt start at 9.30am

The day starts out with your tutor covering a shorter version of your online theory (please go over online) followed by a live demonstration.

No kit included – everything is provided for the course.

Day 1: Theory recap, bead practice, step by step on the doll hand application of acrylic.

Average earnings for a nail technician are £25+ per client!

Dress code:

Tunic or all black is expected to be worn in academy.

After the course:

After the course you will need to obtain liability insurance in order to work on paying clients. You can use these skills to work from home, mobile or in a salon.
